Websites
I started designing websites back in the last century using the file space allocated by my university to each undergraduate. From those early, very crude pages, I have continued to develop my skills through my personal site (though this site gets much less attention than any other!) and through more useful projects. Here are some of my favourites.
Diptford Village
In less than a week I designed, built and populated the complete community website for the village of Diptford. It’s a comprehensive guide to services and facilities in the village, plus what’s on and a ‘notice board’ in suitable style.
Drama Society Archive
I worked with a drama society to design and build a searchable, sortable archive of nearly 100 years of their productions, showcasing the work of over a thousand members.
Woodland Barton Farm
I redesigned and rebuilt the website for this bed and breakfast to make it easier to navigate, easier to update and more flexible on mobile devices.
North Huish Parish Council
I worked with NHPC to redesign their site from scratch to create a user-friendly website that explains what the council does for the community.
LAL Careers
Whilst employed by a group of language schools, a colleague and I devised and developed a comprehensive recruitment site for this international organisation.
Avonwick and North Huish Community Website
I redesigned and updated this community-focussed site to make it more attractive and easier to navigate, whilst keeping the large amount of information on the site and making it easier to find. The site has been custom coded to display date-determined data, such as upcoming events and bin days.
Avonwick Shop
I redesigned and developed the website for my local shop to showcase its wide range of products and services in a clear, attractive syle.
