The brief
Redesign existing site.
The Avonwick Shop website had been ‘under construction’ for some time. I took on the project and redesigned the site to give a better overview of the shop’s services and a better user experience.
The old site
Avonwick Shop had a simple WordPress site with a few pages of basic information.
The new site
The updated site used a more modern theme which was customised to reflect the style of the shop’s existing signage.
The shop stocked a wide range of interesting, local products, and offered services such as dry cleaning and wholefood ordering which few people knew about. The site was designed to showcase these clearly, as well as providing the basic information such as contact details and opening hours.
A large slider at the top featured key promotions, with further highlights below. Featured products ran along the bottom of the screen, each linking to more information about them.
The site was mobile responsive and remained on WordPress.
Unfortunately, Avonwick shop closed in 2018.
